Flying the flag at the Surrey Installed Mark Masters Lodge
In September the Installation meeting of the Surrey Installed Mark Masters Lodge No 1219 was held at the Surbiton Masonic Hall.
This was preceded by a meeting of the Surrey Enthroned Commanders Lodge where W,Bro. Chris Cradock gave an interesting short talk entitled ‘Mariner Origins’. This was well received by all present. W.Bro. Chris Eley was elected Worshipful Commander and W.Bro. Adrian Kidney was re-elected Treasurer for the ensuing year. The Junior Warden was none other than our District Grand Prefect, RW.Bro. John French.
A Lodge of Mark Master Masons was then opened and the Worshipful Master, W.Bro. Chris Eley, welcomed the many guests and visitors.
VW.Bro. Brian Berry was then installed in the Chair of the Lodge by W.Bro. Chris Eley in a very sincere manner. The Worshipful Master then appointed and invested his Officers.
After the Lodge was closed we all retired to the bar for drinks following which we all dined together in the Elizabethan Suite.
As is now the usual custom, the members of the Allied Masonic Degrees were all wearing their AMD napkins – including our District Grand Prefect, seen here with RW.Bro. Ray Hussey, Past District Grand Prefect.
