Flying the flag at Comites Sigillorum Mark Lodge

In November 2019, I was invited along to Comites Sigillorum Royal Ark Mariner Lodge to give a talk on the Royal Ark Mariner Degree.

This was well received and prompted an interesting discussion afterwards on this lovely Degree, where it sits in English Freemasonry, and the difference in America where it is one of the Allied Masonic Degrees.

A Lodge of Mark Master Masons was then opened and W.Bro. John Johnson, PAGDC, was invited to give a talk entitled The Importance of Mark for the Masonic Degrees. This was also well received and prompted some interesting discussion on the Mark Degree and where it sits in England compared to how the Degree is practiced in Scotland, Ireland and America. Afterwards the Worshipful Master, W.Bro. John Gregory (Snr), thanked me and W.Bro. John for an enlightening and educational afternoon.

The Lodge was then closed and we retired to the bar. The Brethren of Comites Sigillorum Lodge and their guests sat down to a most enjoyable festive board at the Croydon Masonic Halls.

As is customary at Mark Lodge meetings the members of the Allied Masonic Degrees were wearing their AMD napkins.
