First Allied Meeting Post-Lockdown
On Monday 19th July 2021, Surrey Council No. 64 became the first Council to meet in Surrey after Covid restrictions ended. The members were honoured with a visit by the District Grand Prefect, RWBro John French, and his Deputy, WBro Bob Tuthill.
Getting straight back to business, the Council introduced a candidate into the Order. Bro. Mark Tatum will be a valuable asset, as he is very active in charity activities in the Craft and Mark Degree. An excellent meal was enjoyed at the Festive Board and a raffle raised funds to sponsor Bro Stuart de Fraine Ford's 26 mile run for a Prostate Cancer charity.
The next meeting of the Council is on Monday 20th December, when candidates will be admitted to the Order of Grand High Priest. One of the candidates already booked in for the ceremony will be well known to many Surrey Masons - Bro Richard Wileman, who is head of the Rose Croix and Deputy Provincial Grand Master in the Craft.
Visitors and candidates for the GHP ceremony from other councils are MOST welcome. Contact the Secretary, WBro Mike Neville at mrmikeneville@aol.com.
