Maximum Sunshine and Attendance at the Annual Hog Roast
What a glorious day for our Hog Roast annual event we were full to capacity with over 120 in attendance. A beautiful day which was thoroughly enjoyed by one and all.
The raffle raised £920.00 thanks to the efforts and arm twisting by Allan and Wendy Brockwell. Wendy has also built up some enthusiastic little helpers to distribute the wonderful prizes donated by the attendees with a huge thanks to Ray and Jenny Beadle for donating some very special prizes.
It was Kevin Brennans first time at the helm organising this event, taking over from John Coleman and with a full house Kevin it will have to be more of the same next year on the 9th July 2023 - thank you very much.
We should never doubt our PDGP Rt W Bro Raymond Hussey who takes full responsibility and ensures that the sun will shine and he certainly kept his promise this year, an amazing day with not a cloud in the sky - good luck next year!
W Bro Ian Smith and W Bro Bob Hancock both looked very dapper in their Sunny attire and were rewarded for their efforts taking joint first place in the best dressed Caribbean kids - no favouritism shown, just look at the pictures.
The staff at Guildford Masonic Centre were fantastic and ensured everybody was well looked after - you are all amazing and thank you again for your tireless efforts.
Thanks also to the whole membership of the District of Surrey for supporting the Surrey Mark Festival by donating £13,194.00 – well done one and all.
