Large Double for Surrey Hills Council

It was a jam packed order of business at the Surrey Hills Council Meeting on the 19th April. The meeting was presided over by the Worshipful Master Anthony Taylor with virtually all the officers in attendance.

A Council of Knights of Constantinople was opened and the candidate was none other than the District Grand Organist Bob Soper who was admitted and enjoyed a fine ceremony with W.Bro Alastair Richardson performing his party piece as the Senior Conductor, really looking the part in top hat and tails, a gold tipped cane and a monocle to complete the look… an excellent piece of ritual Alastair…congratulations!


Immediately after the first ceremony the Grand Tilers of Soloman and Bob Soper was again the Candidate who unwittingly entered the vault, luckily he avoided he avoided execution and was admitted as a member with the Worshipful Master and the two wardens playing their parts with great aplomb.

Another fine meeting witnessed by the Deputy District Grand Prefect W.Bro Bob Tuthill who was in attendance.

Afterwards the Council dined in perfect harmony at Nutfield and enjoyed a fine festive board of Chile Con carne followed by Eton Mess.
